Why ICO?
As a former resident and student of ICO, I have seen the learning environment that ICO offers. ICO offers a well rounded optimal clinical and educational environment. I wanted to continue growing as an educator and also help the next generation of clinicians.
Biography
Dr. Himanee Patel received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2022. She completed a post-graduate optometric residency program in Ocular Disease/Primary Care at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, IL. Dr. Patel is passionate about teaching and loves to work with students that are in different stages of their learning experience. Some of her optometric interests include primary care, ocular disease, emergency eye care, glaucoma, and dry eye. Dr. Patel has presented at several optometric meetings across the country, and she is currently pursuing her fellowship through the American Academy of Optometry. In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, reading, playing tennis and baking.
