Biography
Dr. Halikias graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2007. She was awarded the Lawrence P. Feigenbaum Clinical Optometry Memorial Award for clinical excellence as well as the Richard J O'Brien II Award for top residency candidate. She furthered her optometric training by completing a post-doctoral residency in primary care and ocular disease at the Illinois Eye Institute in 2008. Upon completion of the residency she has remained on the faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Primary Eye Care Services of the Illinois Eye Institute, providing comprehensive eye care and educating optometry students. In 2009 Dr. Halikias joined Forzley Eye Clinic as a staff doctor and has enjoyed expanding her multidisciplinary approach to eye care in a private practice setting.
