Why ICO?
Biography
Dr. Beckerman has held a faculty position at ICO since 1983. He completed an undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis in Applied Science in Electrical Engineering. He completed his optometry degree at SUNY College of Optometry, and a Fellowship at ICO in pediatrics an low vision. He is a nationally recognized expert in Sports Vision who has worked with professional baseball, basketball, soccer and the Junior Olympic games. He is currently assigned to supervise pediatric/ binocular vision clinic and teaches binocular vision laboraties. Dr. Beckerman maintains a private practice Glenview Vision Care which is an externship site for 4th year ICO students.
