Biography
Dr. McLaughlin is an Assistant Professor at the Illinois College of Optometry and an attending optometrist at the Chicago Lighthouse. She sees patients in the Rosenbloom Center on Vision and Aging, the Primary Care Glaucoma Unit, Advanced Care, and Urgent Care.
Outside of work, Dr. McLaughlin enjoys spoiling her rescue dog, international solo travel, and volunteering.
Special Interests
Dr. McLaughlin is passionate about glaucoma treatment and research, co-management of cataract surgery, low vision rehabilitation, equity in health care, and effective patient communication. She teaches the Visual and Physical Optics and Communications courses and is the curriculum coordinator of Practice Management Education. She is on the board of the Faculty Council.
