Biography
After graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Biology and Psychology, Dr. Patel began her optometric career at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO). She completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at ICO and joined the ICO faculty in 2017. Dr. Patel is the Assistant Dean for Community Based Education and International Programs and an Assistant Professor of Optometry at ICO. She is an attending optometrist in the Glaucoma Unit, Primary Care Clinic and Urgent Care Service at the Illinois Eye Institute (IEI). Dr. Patel is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Illinois Optometric Society and American Optometric Association.
